Gifts From Heaven

 To me General Conference is better than any holiday experience. Why you may ask?

Every six months, The Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints host a conference where the of the First Presidency quorum Twelve Apostles speak, and other general leadership speak to all membership and friends. This year is unique because our prophet passed away directly before the conference. 

This time is called an apastolic interregum. At this sacred time the first presidency is disolved and all the surviving members take their place in the quorum of the twelve. The president or senior officer then leads his quorum and The Church. The most senior apostle, which is determind by the date and order they were called into the apostleship, will be the future prophet. He then calls at least two counselors and reform the first presidency. Regardless of this shifting of leaders it is important to understand that the true leader is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Church functions by revelation and continues to that way even during times of transistion. We all have the blessing of listening to the revelations that flow through Him. This inspired leadership is like opening packages from heaven.   

Better than any physical gift these heavenly gifts have the power to heal misunderstandings and broken hearts. They have power to unfold your true identity and purpose in life, providing compensatory power and support as we struggle to fill those charges!!!!

President Russell M. Nelson

For three years we have followed the charges of our beloved prophet President Russell M. Nelson. We have sought to teach supporting basic doctrines that will help our wonderful listeners strengthen their faith and resolve to rise to these challenges he extends. We know that his job was always to lead us closer to the Savior Jesus Christ. 

With his passing and as the sacred process of the succession of presidency begins, it is a time to see the spirit of the Lord rest upon his chosen leader. We pray that you will do the spiritual work of seeing it for yourselves. 

Our commitment and faith remain unchanged, and we will continue to follow the challenges of the prophet and do our best to support all our listeners and understanding the doctrine behind all that is being required of us.
